Trim a video in the browser without uploading it
Yougni Video Editor runs on this device. Set in and out points, crop the canvas, concatenate up to 8 clips, and export MP4 or WebM. Nothing is sent to our servers.
Cut a clip locally
Works in Chromium and Firefox. Safari can export MP4; others usually export WebM.
- 1.
Add a clip from your disk
MP4 or WebM, up to 3 minutes and 200 MB per file. The file stays in the tab.
- 2.
Set in and out
Space plays. Arrow keys nudge a frame. [ and ] mark in and out. Drag clips to reorder.
- 3.
Export on this device
Record the timeline to MP4 or WebM, or grab a PNG frame. No credit charge.
Why keep the file on the device
Most online trimmers upload first. That is slower and weaker for private footage.
No upload
Drafts, client reviews, and personal clips never hit our storage.
No credits
The editor is free. Paid tools start after you export, if you need cleanup.
Concat and crop
Up to 8 clips, 16:9 / 9:16 / 1:1 / 4:5, contain or cover.
Limits
3 minutes and 200 MB per clip — enough for a social cut, not a feature film.
Local trim FAQ
Formats, privacy, and what happens after export.
Is the file uploaded in the background?
No. Decode, preview, and export stay in the browser. That is why long 4K clips can make the tab work hard.
What do I get out?
MP4 or WebM depending on the browser, plus PNG frames and a capped GIF export.
Can I remove a watermark here?
This page only trims and crops. Watermark removal is a separate paid tool and must only be used on footage you have rights to.
After the cut
Need a smoother clip or a higher resolution? Export first, then use frame interpolation or video upscaler. Those steps upload the export and use credits.
